Publish New Elastigroup Metrics to CloudWatch

Monitoring your infrastructure is crucial for your business to be successful and the need for monitoring does not end when you move to the cloud. Solutions like Amazon Cloudwatch provide an integrated monitoring solution inside AWS that provides you with data and actionable insights to monitor your applications, understand and respond to system-wide performance changes, optimize resource utilization, and get a unified view of operational health.

We’ve added several new metrics Elastigroup can publish to CloudWatch. i In the screenshot below, you can get a better idea on how it should look in CloudWatch.

Here is a list of details about the new CloudWatch integration in Elastigroup and the available metrics:

• Network In and Network Out Averages
• Summary of all inbound (NetworkIn) and outbound (NetworkOut) statistics  per instance
• Metrics are published every 5 minutes
• The Namespace used for all of our published metrics is named “Spotinst”.
