Technical Account Manager

Spotinst is looking for a technical account manager to join their Sales team. As a Technical Account Manager, you have expertise for helping customers understand application architectures, software integration approaches, and consultative approaches to drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers.

In collaboration with Sales, you will craft highly scalable, elastic and resilient cloud architectures that simultaneously address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of Spotinst services for an expansive set of channel and enterprise customers. As a trusted customer advocate, the Technical Account Manager helps organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a passion for educating, designing, and building cloud solutions for a diverse array of large customers. The ability to evaluate a customer’s IT landscape, connect technology with measureable business value as well as think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges is critical as a Technical Account Manager.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • As a key member of Sales, provide technical leadership and success in building and migrating cloud applications, software and services on the Spotinst platform

  • Perform Spotinst demonstrations to new customers, online webinars, blogs and social media

  • Evangelize and educate customers/partners on the value proposition of Spotinst and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed to scale for successful deployment

  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals with customers to enable them to be cloud advocates

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design, implementation, and/or consulting experience with cloud applications or systems architecture

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud architecture, database architecture and networking

  • Experience in consulting, technology/software sales, or pre-sales

  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

  • Technical degree required; Computer Science or Math background highly desired

  • Position requires limited travel less than 25%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

  • Experience with Amazon AWS EC2 cloud architectures, designs, and implementations

  • Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on Spotinst

  • Excellent presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and technical teams

  • Strong written communication skills (content creation such as whitepapers, proof of concepts, patents, etc.)
